Urine - First Catch

• Collection Instructions CT-GC PCR Urine and Swab Collection-Kits
• Urine must be transferred to the Cobas media tube prior to transport to the testing laboratory. Urine is stable for 24 hours refrigerated before adding to Cobas Media.

REJECTION Criteria:

• Bloody or dark brown specimens
• Urine received in testing lab not in Cobas media

 Vaginal/Cervical/Throat/Rectal Swab

• Collection Instructions CT-GC PCR Urine and Swab Collection-Kits
• Collection Instructions CT-GC PCR Throat and Rectal
• Vaginal, Throat and Rectal specimens REQUIRE the WOVEN swab. 
• Endocervical specimens REQUIRE the FLOCKED swab. 
• Vaginal specimens may be collected in a healthcare setting by the patient using the Cobas® PCR Media Uni Swab Sample Kit

REJECTION Criteria:

• Bloody or dark brown specimens
• Both swabs in media
• No swab in media
• Incorrect swab in media
